Dear Readers,
Exactly one year ago, on 9/9/11, I started this website as a way to have some fun and escape the rigors of law school. I really had no idea how long it would last, or if I’d even make it for half as long as I have. However, here we are, one year later, and Electrogent is still alive.
The one year landmark is important, not just because I can say we’ve “been around for a year,” but because many start-up websites don’t last past the first year. Deterred by a lack of traffic, interest, or comments, many bloggers and website creators give up or start over before a year. However, partly because the interest in the website has been more than I expected, and partly because I never set any sort of real goals or expectations for statistics, we made it to the one year mark. Phew.
Over the past year, Electrogent accrued 260 articles, 35.5K pageviews, 404 tweets, 6 giveaways, and untold levels of manliness. For whatever those numbers are worth, I thank each and every one of you who actively visit the website on a regular basis. Electrogent continues to grow each month, and I can’t wait to come back next year and share similar news of growth.
